This fish was caught the other day at the Imperial Beach Pier and reported on their website. The fish is likely a green jack, caranx cabalilus Gunther 1868, or a cocinero, caranx vinctus Jordan & Gilbert , 1882. Both are members of the jack family Several green jacks (or cocinero) have recently been reported in the Long Beach area.
