Love that Regal Dobro Square Neck Resonator! One of the rare times you'll see it chorded rather than used with a slide. Regal competes with National Guitar for some tasty axes.

The song, believe it or not, is over 114 years old! Like many my age (around the time the wheel was invented) I first heard this as a Lovin Spoonful tune, then of course the classic version by Taj Mahal (who by the way has a new exquisite album out now).

Proof that some DFW dudes can be cool.

Quick story: a beast of a man that everyone feared (except me) was a warden named Reno. He was strict and wrote tickets. But never unfairly. Anyway, my 4-year-old son and I were foraging pile worms at low tide in SF Bay. Reno showed up and came down to check my license. A little conversation and then he took off his shoes and socks, rolled up his pants, and helped us collect. My son was impressed and it set him on the road as a law enforcement truster. We need examples like that!

Great to hear the good story. Just had a friend who in my opinion was mistreated by a warden at Port San Luis. Wondering about writing a letter to the department but since I wasn't there it would probably be ignored. Sounded like a young warden who showed zero skills as far as dealing with the public (and my friend is a very good guy, honest and trying to do everything right).
