Wow that's a new one for me that I'll add bonefish to my list of catches.

I got it on mussel on hi lo rig and for a little guy (6-7 inches) it was pulled my rod down like a 10-12 inch smelt which I thought I caught.

Thanks!

Great catch.
I have to say, in my years of taking my kids to fish that tiny pier, I don't think we ever left not being surprised by our catch.
I remember dropping my bait to the bottom at low tide and seeing it clearly on the bottom.
One trip, we fished frozen anchovies and got hit after hit on flylined bait. We went through a whole bag of bait before my son reeled one to the surface on his light spinning rig. He yelled for me when he had it thrashing on the surface. We looked over the rail and saw one of the biggest halibut I'd ever seen in person.
Another trip, he hooked the biggest midshipman we'd ever seen. I tried to talk him into releasing it, but he insisted on bringing it home. I don't think I have ever seen an uglier fish in all my days. We still talk about that fish, lol.
