Wow, fireworks going off in every direction and I mean BIG, undoubtedly illegal fireworks. Sound like a war zone.

We always have some idiots who think the laws do not apply to them.

You can purchase "safe and sane" fireworks in Fresno and we celebrated the 4th with a BBQ and some fireworks at our daughter's house. Another house down the block had a similar set of small fireworks. However, we could see off in the distance large fireworks as though an actual fireworks show was going on (but none were sanctioned). Driving home it seemed every couple of blocks had someone setting off BIG fireworks and it continued on late into the night. I'm told you can buy almost any type of fireworks in Nevada and I am sure some people bring them back with them when they visit Reno, Lake Tahoe or other sites.
