Finally success with lobster

I have trying to help a friend catch lobster for a while now. Finally, on the first, we went down to the San Diego area, visited her adult sons, and went lobstering.
On her second drop, she pulled up a barely legal lobster. The next drop she pulled three, with two legals. I then tried it, and caught a net full of shorts, with one so small, I wonder how it stayed in the net.
