Was watching a post on another site and a guy had caught a small yellowtail. He did not know what he had caught nor did he know if he could keep it. Didn't know the fish or regulations! So tired of people not making an effort to learn the identity of fish and the regulations for that fish. For 25 years this site has tried to educate anglers but I sometimes wonder how many people we've reached?
Weekend anglers fishing for free of a pier visiting from somewhere that doesn't even have oceans aren't going to try to educate themselves.
There are others who this site has educated so now they know that they are not following regulations (but simply don't care).
Then there are the people who still fish years later and have internalized the principles that so many users on this site embody.
I started seriously fishing around 30, and found this site shortly after. I can say with complete honesty that even if you have not
made an impact on anyone else, you and your work has enriched my fishing experience very much for the better. Thank you.
