Decent surf fishing area.

Heading out from Tucson again and wanted to hit some surf fishing this time if I can locate some place not crowded . I may still swing by the typical haunts Imperial ,Crystal maybe go as far north as Oceanside Pier but wanted some place a little more southern for a quick turn around day trip. Will be mainly targeting rays, sharks hopefully some yellow fin and then chucking for bait in the surf\. Not looking for secret spots or honey holes I just dont want to spend precious time wandering for a decent stretch. Thanks in advance and hopefully end up seeing some of ya on the piers again .

I haven't fished the area in years but when young often fished the surf area about 1 1/2 miles north of Solano Beach. Had some good success there including halibut and bass. But, as said, that was a long time ago.

Another area where I had considerable success was just past the Model Yacht Pond on Vacation Isle in Mission Bay. I fished the southwest point and got a LOT of fish.

As said, I haven't fished those spots for years so hope they haven't changed too much. BYW, I used to use bloodworms and ghost shrimp in Mission Bay and the fishing could be fantastic at times,
