Did some rock hopping on the jetty Wednesday morning. Beautiful sunny day.

Caught four Rock Wrasse, two Calico Bass, a short one and a keeper at 16 1/2 inches. The surprise was a wide open Pacific Mackerel and Jacksmelt bite.

The Jacksmelt, short Calico and Rock Wrasse released.

I kept a bucketfull of Mackerel for my Fillipino friends, at church, for the Christmas celebration of Simbang Gabi.

I used a hi/lo set up with size 4 Eagle Claw hooks. Caught all fish using a variety of mussel, shrimp and anchovy.

It was a very good fishing morning. But my body is very sore and tired now.

Good luck everyone.
