I got the 7'6" KastKing BlackHawk II MH Casting Rod and the 11.8' Spinning Rod among other things on Amazon
Cool! I only have rods up to 10’. My younger brother has 3 casting rods 11.5’ and up. Guess where he got them....? On sale on Amazon about 4 years ago... lol

Yea, l have a fishing buddy that is married to a elementery school teacher. He has some interesting ways of turning school supplies into fishing gear. Actually, he gave me a home made sabiki wrapped on a piece of pool noodle.

The US is SO DAMN FAR BEHIND the REST OF THE FIRST WORLD when it comes to BEACH FISHING......

I have been talking to quite a few friends in England, Europe, and Japan.....and our gear is positively ARCHAIC in comparison.......

a new and up-and-coming tackle manufacturer in Europe is Tronixpro........Know for quality and AFFORDABLE spinning reels, casting reels, and surf rods......MUCH better than we can get here in many cases.......AND THEY WON'T SHIP TO THE US......Believe me ...... I HAVE BEEN TRYING........

Rigging is a lot more advanced as well.........I strongly recommend checking out rig types on YouTube.........It can be pretty eye opening

One of my friends from England has shelved his Shimano reels. In favor of the Tronixpro Reels of similar size....He likes them that much and they average less than half the price......I wish they had the new 515 and 525 Penn Mag3 Reels in the US......They are getting raves as well

Yeah from what I can tell you may be a Tackle Ho. So what the difference between the Penn Mag3 515 & a Penn Squall 15 other than color. Same goes for the 525 which seems like a SQL 25. Specs seem the same, appears like a rebranded version with color change.

No doubt about that. I think they look better than the SQL line currently. I was just wondering if there was something I was missing. Weird how they call them something completely different. It’d be nice if they called them one thing and just offered color options.

Penn Reels......Hmmm...Let me see....Penn 25, 26, 27, a couple of each, 100 Surfmaster (5).....500, 501, 505....a couple of each, 1/0-8/0 senators, 140,145, 146 Squidders...several of each.....60, 65, 66, 68 Long Beach.....Yah...I have a few Penn Reels......That is not even all of them...I even have the oddball 350 reels.....Penn 9's.....Penn Mag 10's......
What is an 8/0? I thought the numbers skipped from 6/0 to 9/0 in the Senators. Then, 12/0, 14/0 and the discontinued 16/0.
