Ken, did you try to get a shipping quote thrpugh USPS Media Mail, should be significantly cheaper. Also maybe consider selling them on Amazon under the FBA, they will store them while they are being sold

Rusty, No I didn't check with USPS Media, I've trusted the distribution center to find good rates. As for Amazon, it's too late to switch at this point.

Brock, Thanks very much for the offer but I had already submitted the order to Reno so two cases should be on their way to your home.

Ken, I just received the case of book. Will send to Pleasanton library once they open again. Right now they are close due to COVID. Thanks.

A LOT of time, effort and love went into the book but the sales have overall been disappointing. The book sellers say it's too big and has TOO much informatuion. They say people today want short books with lots of pictures (although it has hundreds of pictures). We're in a different age where YouTube seems to dominate (even though I feel way too many have poor and even misleading, wrong information). I wonder sometimes how many that watch this site have checked out the various species and pier articles.

Ken,
For what it is worth, I found the website, and noted its connection to the first edition. From the site, I found out about the second edition. I got mine at a local tackle shop, and was delighted with most of the additions. I enjoy the way you have kept updating material on the website, but I still frequently refer to the book.

A friend and I are splitting a case, and I hope to find homes for them when libraries start opening again.

If anybody in the east bay or silicon valley bought some and has a few extra I'd love to take some off your hands, from the other thread it looks like I may have been too late and was unable to buy with my current budget!

I'm from Silicon Valley, waiting for local libraries in area to reopen for the book donations.
Not sure how to PM someone on this site.
