Friday morning at the pier. Cloudy, overcast, and some wind. Water was dark rust brown in color and low tide. Despite conditions a lot of fishermen testing their luck.
Fish didn't get the memo to participate!
I managed to catch and release a Round Stingray, a White Croaker, and a Jacksmelt. A few Round Stingrays and Queenfish caught by nearby fishermen. Overall very slow.
To break up the slow morning, a canoeist decided to paddle under the pier to my fishing side. As he exited and headed south he ran into one of my lines. He got tangled up and had to jump into the water to unhook my fishing line from his outrigger. Guy was apologetic and paddled away. First time I have " caught" a canoe!
Never know what to expect at this pier!
