Back In The Surf Again 10/7/2025

Thanks, The bait were used was the sandcrabs, Normally, The setup i would recommended to use is the Med.light weight rod that could cast from a 1 oz up to 3 oz. But, today i step out in my comfort zone and went with a ultra light setup. It was fun. it took a bit longer to land those catch.
Time of the day, I would like to fish the two hours before and after the tide change, from low to high or high to low. It always produce for me in the past, so why change it.
I think now is the best time to fish for stripers out in the surf, The fish are going back up to the delta and they want to fatten themselves up along the way. But, every year is different from using natural bait or artificial. we did great last year, we caught most of the fish with artificial, but this year is the opposite. They don't want it. natural bait only.
ideally, you could catch stripers all year round, personally i stop and get ready for Dungeness Crab Opener on the 1st of Nov. 2025
