Back at fishing! Not much luck!

Hi all, made this account when I was a kid. Even in my young age was in and out of hospitals for so young, but I'm feeling a bit better and have been fishing the past few months again, so happy. It's been rough though-San Mateo bridge used to be a great spot for sharks and rays but no dice at all. Oyster point is decent but too packed with people. Wondering if anybody might be willing to share some knowledge around the peninsula/san mateo area? Hoping to fish a spot that's near a restroom. It's been many years since I've caught a bat ray or any shark, even the baby leopards you used to throw back. Hope everyone else has been doing well too, thanks!

I would suggest sierra point pier but the bathrooms aren't always open. With the recent closure of Pacifica, a lot of other local piers have an uptick in angling pressure. From what I know, many piers lack rest rooms these days due to overall abuse of the facilities. Ft point has several near the foot of the pier but it can be a little bit of a walk especially if you really have to go ntm the typical crowds of tourists/locals alike that mingle there.

I'm not sure the Redwood City Pier is open but I think it is. It has bathrooms just across the parking lot. Not great fishing but jacksmelt, some sharks (including leopard sharks) and bat rays.

When I lived up there we would hit the seawall at the San Leandro Marina for mixed results... High tides though. Too low of a tide and its mudflats. I think you need a license there though...
