Any news on Sand Dabs? Planning to go to fishing this weekend.

My son and I just went out on a "long range" trip outta morro bay. while we were fishing around ragged point he caught a "large sand dab" so I figure if we're catching them in close to the coast, they're probably catching on the san simion pier but I have no direct knowledge as of yet, let me know if you do---thanks!
