Everyone is different. I have limited tackle and use very basic setups but catch a fair share of fish. But, there are those than can afford the latest and greatest and I have no problem with their quest. I am more addicted to fish tham tackle but, as said, everyone's different.

like the Penn Fierce. and even my Shimano Citica and newer Curado
They seriously do NOT make things like they used to......I have Penn reels that are over 50 years old and they are still going strong.......I was looking at small baitfeeder reels for perching and smaller conventional reels for micro jigging

Yes, I do browse Amazon for fishing gears. It's getting worse, now I'm browsing craft stores and ebay.

You and me BOTH....LOL.......My Girlfriend's best friend does nail art.......I am going NUTS over the holographic transfer foils she is showing me.......My Amazon cart ALONE is over $300 right now and that does not include ANY rods or reels......Just terminal tackle, line, and lure making supplies..... Getting 20 1oz and 10 1/2oz spoon blanks for customizing.....Hopkins type....and getting some KastMaster Clones and Small Jigs to trick out as well

I have always been curious about those kastking brand reels and other knockoff/copycat brands, they are a fraction of the price of the big names and their claims sound good to be true. Opinions on quality, durability, usability?

It seriously depends on who you ask......a LOT of reviews on the Baitcasting Reels from KastKing on YouTube....They have me curious I will admit and the price is right......BUT I REALLY LOVE THE CLASSIC ABU's

Like the desert eagle hath said, there are tons of reviews. I looked at this brand when it first came out and concluded it was indeed "too good to be true." Who doesn't want to save money? (I focused on spinning reels. I did not research baitcasters.) The problem with positive, glowing reviews is that they are written shortly after purchase. I would like to see some long-term praise; but it is not happening. There was a hilarious review, somewhere, about the new Sharky series--written on a site where the entire right margin was splashed with Kastking advertising.

Most times I'd say you'd get your money's worth on a $50 spinning reel if it serves you for a year, maybe a year and a half, longer if you maintain it with religious devotion. I would not say that about Kastking spinners. One example why: Two years ago Walmart and similar outlets advertised Kastking Orca IIs at somewhere between $55.98 and $61.98. You could get the same model wholesale (if you bought 20 in bulk) at $13.85 each. Cheap. For sure. That model is no longer in stock. Among the gripe reviews there was/is a common thread about some of the reels falling apart right out of the box. That's never good and should send up warning flags. As said, we don't have a lot of good reviews from people who've had Kastking spinning reels awhile.

As for durability...much plastic, so keep them out of the sun and they won't melt.
Yeah i knew it must be too good to be true, you get what you pay for nowadays right? I’ll try stop looking at that kind of junk lol and wasting precious time...so tempting though

I got one of those. Last I used it was during the grunion runs for corvina. Love Abu Swedish rounds. So, I've got a couple of collectables too. Got a few nice custom jobs too built for specific applications. Never was able to aquire one of the later blue winches though. I might just build a custom hybrid winch.

You see that black cherry pro rocket? Lol Oh man.. I cant justify buying it though..
