It's a good price but I don't see how many pieces it is. Last time I bought rods from here I got a great deal on a couple of 1-piece 8 foot shimano rods that I still haven't used because I can't fit them in my vehicle to take fishing anywhere :) I should have really paid more attention to that!

Too bad about those one piece Shimano rods. If you can't transport them, are you looking to sell them?

Nah. I figure eventually I'll find a way... Either when I get a van, or some vehicle that can have roof-bars mounted so I can use a roof-top rod carrier. If someone can use them or wants them I would part with them but haven't been actively trying to get rid of them. I mean, it's fishing gear... You don't get rid of gear unless you are quitting fishing, right?
If you are local (I'm in Moreno Valley but go to Dana Point to fish somewhat often) and need/can use them let me know. I'll look to see their details but if I remember correctly they are 7' 1-piece casting rods... One is for heavier weight (I think up to 3 oz) and the other is very light weight (I think max 1/4 or 1/8 oz).

Originally I got one for freshwater/light weight and the other for rockfish/shore.

I have plenty of gear and am more partial to spinning setups. I have a new 4000 shimano baitrunner and will buy a shorter rod to pair with it to short cast lures off of jetties and docks.

Evan do you need reel with drag? I got a Shimano long cast (drag-less) reel that I can give you that would pair up nicely with the long cast rod. I've used it once or twice and did not find it to fit my needs. I would rather see the reel be used than sit in a box.

Sounds intriguing! Never thought about a dragless reel. I'm interested. Let me know what I can give you for it! What size is it?

2014 Shimano Super Aero Spin Joy 30. Comes with 2 spools - shallow and deep. Any fishing trips this weekend? I'm in SD and could meet up at San Clemente Pier tomorrow. Don't really need anything. How about a fish? ;)

Sounds like a plan! I have the morning and early afternoon open tomorrow. So I'll try to be at San Clemente around 6AM until about 2PM. Sound good?
