Thats the pier gaff in its side. It may or may not have been snagged. Hard to tell from that video.

Yeah, definitely snagged. Some people are proud of foul hooked fish. Some people think snagging is okay. I don't. It is not fishing.

I agree with Ken about the problems with snagging. I have seen corbina inside the surf at Hueneme, and there are usually some people with snag rigs, when they are around. I'm confident that they are selling them.

I have to admit though, the only guitarfish I've caught snagged itself by the nose on #6 or #8 Sabiki, and I kept it. I guess I distinguish between intentional and unintentional snagging.
