Fished my Birthday/Fathers Day for a FAT SKUNK
Used salted cocktail shrimp and clams for bait.
Artificials were made up of Gulp Sandworms, Mullet, and some Swimbaits.......
Hey........I TRIED
SKUNK!!!!!!........
Fished the incoming High and Slack tide with snares filled with squid and herring......1 TINY Dungie and 2 keeper (to some....not me) red crab........a LOT of poaching activity and broken glass bottles everywhere......Why do people have to do that??

Fished a Penn...
It took me a while to learn them....But it is absolutely worth it.........I can Spool an Abu 6500 spooled with 20# on a good cast when I am in practice.......I could probably teach you pretty easily....
What spinning reels are you using?.......I have destroyed every one I have tried so far.
Most recently a 6500 and an 8000 Okuma.........I am switching to Squidders with their solid metal gears until I find a spinning reel that can handle the load.......My spot I sometimes get more than one crab...
All you need to get started
1) Butane Stove and fuel..........This is a pretty good deal off of Amazon
https://www.amazon.com/Butane-Stove-Fuel-Canister-Catridge/dp/B083ZNCM52/ref=sr_1_27?dchild=1&keywords=butane+fuel&qid=1604419812&sr=8-27
2) Cast Iron Sauce Pan......THRIFT...
If there is any interest I can put together a tutorial on how to get into making your own lead weights safely and affordably........but I need to know if there is any interest before I put in the time....

Sorry I have not posted a fishing report on this trip.......but except for a Buffalo Sculpin caught on a 2oz Casting Spoon almost as big as it was........It was skunk city the whole trip.........Mostly due to surf conditions of beach slope...........I was going to fish a second day at Trinidad...
I just followed recipes I found on Youtube........Commercial Preps are just to damn expensive.....I DID LEARN......that trying to dye baits with standard food coloring does not work on herring and other fin fish
Wet brined some clams and mussels to got with the slated herring I still have left for my trip to Trinidad Pier.......Fresh bait is not always available up there and when it is......IT IS DAMN EXPENSIVE
