It’s been so long (so I feel) since I last wetted my line. My work has taken over my time in past weeks but finally I found a free day. I joined Mahigeer to visit the mole for some fishing. He stayed over for lobster but I planed to leave making it as a day trip. After a beautiful ferry ride, a half dozen regulars from Redondo piers and us fished for bonito in AM.

Bites were good and constant. Small colt sniper like jigs produced a quick limit of school size bonito for me, mixed in with a really nice fat mackerels. Our neighbors were landing a couple of nice sized ones over 24”.

Some of the bonita spitted out good size anchovies and a nice fresh market squid. I used them to bait fish for some fun too.

I decided to make my day short changing my return ferry from 7:45pm to 1pm so I could fix my flat tire and have enough time to clean my gears within daylight. Other regulars were poaching bonitos. I did not want to keep seeing them doing it too. Before I took off, I could check out Mahigeers yet another new cool gears.

I hope he send us report of how it was.

Lastly I played with my new Casio fishing watch (that both Mahigeer and I brought to this trip without us knowing it). It was a new moon and the watch said great fishing! FE03D691-DA50-42B3-A5A2-D01642A6957C.jpeg

Well it worked! FN

It was good to fish with you Fish-ninja san.

I caught one legal lobster and some short ones. The bonito was no show next day. I wonder if not having so many lures in the water made a difference.

The enclosure was very useful to keep the wind off. The night was quiet and not too windy, but some.

On a side note, I do not know if it is my monitor, or your pictures are too big. I cannot see the entire picture without scrolling down.

Congrats on your lobster success! The enclosure is very nice. I am glad that you made it to a good use. Sorry that images were too big for you. I do not know how to control that, other than taking a pain to download them in my computer first, downsize it, then upload it.

Fish-ninja san,

I forgot to thank you for the lure that made it possible to take the skunk off my back.

No "bonito blues" this time.

Once I read the post, I can reduce the size of the pictures to see the whole picture. Problem solved.
