I first hit the surf for a couple of hours for halibut. I put out a swim bait very similar to a smelt with rattles. There were no takers. I was told by an angler/surfer, that there are lots of leopards in the water. He had seen them while surfing and decided to but out some bait for them.
Around 7PM I decided to check out the Redondo Muni. I did not plan to fish since with a holiday I figured it would be too crowded.
According to Mr. Hong, the owner of the Bait/fast food/sit down restaurant, his business was lower than before. Perhaps due to the high cost of traveling.
I have been planning to start a pictorial report about the piers that I fish, so this was a good opportunity to start one.
Double click on the picture to go to the web album. Enjoy.
