Malibu Area Info??? PLEASE!

Me and a few friends are planning a trip down south, somewhere around malibu on thursday and friday. None of us could afford Grad Night so instead we decided for a fishing road trip. None of us know the area or what to fish for...
Anything going on around there? Any threshers yet?... would it be worth going to a different pier in the vicinity? If we do go to malibu... are there any macks or dines around?... any shark or ray action?
Sorry for all the questions but i have no idea of what to fish for.
Send me an Email if you don't want to "blow the spot".
