Description: A Kid's Fishing Derby for all kids 6 years of age to sixteen. Prizes for all kids and winning awards for each age group.
Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010
Time: 10 AM-1 PM
Registration begins at 9 AM
Age grouping from 6-15; anyone under 6 is part of the age 6 group.
We need people to help set up, help the kids to fish, and to judge. Please sign up if you can give a hand.

This event was a blast. The kid's seemed to have enjoyable time all the way around. Although I did not have much luck on Goleta itself, I managed to get ito a wide-open mackerel bite on the way home with my first visit ever to Gaviota Pier. Porpoises right near the shoreline breaching. Too bad I didn't have the time to fish for thresher..
