Send a Letter Opposing Don Benninghoven
as a Member of the California Fish and Game Commission

Urge the California Senate Rules Committee to reject Benninghoven's confirmation due to one-sided stance on the MLPA

Background
Since being appointed as an interim commissioner on the California Fish and Game Commission (FGC) in August 2009, Don Benninghoven has consistently ignored the interests of California's anglers, exhibiting a clear lack of objectivity in the California Marine Life Protection Act (MLPA) process of establishing marine protected areas. Mr. Benninghoven must be confirmed by the California State Senate in the near future in order to continue as a member of the Fish and Game Commission. Given his lack of support for recreational fishing and balanced ocean conservation, the recreational fishing community in California is opposing his confirmation.

The FGC makes the final decision on which marine protected area proposals are approved - help make sure that he is not part of such critical votes!
