What do you need for basic rebuilding? I really cant afford much besides what is necessary(all I have are screw drivers, some pliers and can borrow some wrenches). Is there any type of grease that I can get from an auto zone? There is one two blocks from my house and I really cant afford shipping. I'm planning on getting an old small reel(one of the old 30# Penns) since they are cheap, to practice on. I don't want to ruin my Penn 114h since I'm not planning on buying another reel for 5+ years.

Lube(oil and grease), a few tools(mainly screwdrivers), and replacement parts. Usually its the replacement parts(drag washers, bearings, gear sleeves, handle upgrades, etc) that cost the most money. Oh yeah, don't forget your schematics. OR even better, one of Alan Tani's rebuild guides!
