Stopped by the other day and fished it for a couple of hours. Not much happening but caught a dozen or so short calicos. The end is closed off but you can still fish the part below facing the bubble hole. Tons of beginning kayakers, SUP boarders, and those paddle boats getting too close, within easy casting distance. No sign of bonita, but Im sure all the recreational trafffic so close doesnt help. Can't imagine what they'll replace it with but all I can say is, this old wooden pier is laden with character and I'll be sorry to see it go.

The city is going to be closing the pier soon and is trying to figure out if they can relocate Polly's during the construction of a new pier.
