I always was curios how huge sea-lions catch the frisky and maneuverable fish.
Recently I watch from Fort Point pier how they are hunting:
couple of sealions moving parallel on both sides of school and become swirling around. Their massive bodies creating whirlpool. Disoriented striper couldn't resist to water swirling and becames easy prey. Sealion show trophy for everybody and become play with it: tossing fish for several feet, chasing, tossing again and so many times...
Fishermen jealously watching that performances...

Wow, that must have been fun to watch. I've never seen that. The best wildlife "fishing" I've ever seen is watching ospreys dive out of the sky catch nice sized trout out of high mountain lakes.
