|Sorry for the late report but just got added to the board.
Two of us were casting and retrieving the metal. Fishing started slow but when the bait moved through the switch flipped we had a steady pick going for 15-20 minutes. Bait was pinhead anchovy but lots of it. We caught 10 or so in the time they wanted to bite, caught 3 different sizes. Mini's 5-6", 7-8", and a few 10-12".
The folks fishing the sabiki tipped with bait were getting a fish here and a fish there, I would say it was a slow pick. It looked like those fishermen did there damage in the grey or earlier.
Walking back to the car saw some queenfish being caught on the tiny sabiki. Inshore fishing looked slow. Saw one nice walleye perch and a 1.5lb yellowfin croaker.
There is ALOT of bait in that area. Several spot of pelicans diving on bait just outside the surfer line up. I'm not surprised the halibut reports for the area have been good. I would expect the bite to hold especially the water clears up a bit.
