|Woke up early for the inner Bay high tide. Thought I'd try some old spots I did well years back. Some of these spots can only be fished early morning or late afternoons/evenings because they're typically overcrowded with people and it's too much of a fuss answering questions. I once had a woman tell me that fishing was cruel and a form of animal cruelty. Well, it sure peeved here to see me catch multiple fish right in front of her.
Anyhow, back to the report.
High tide at 7:20am, arrived at 6:30am and left at 8am for work.
Daiwa Acculite 9' med light rod
Daiwa Revros 4000 with 20lb PP braid
Carolina rig with Kalins motor oil grub
Lots of small bites. Missed a larger hit, likely a schoolie striped bass. Landed and released one 11" barred surf perch. Morning walkers started showing up around 7:45am, so I left since I didn't want to downsize my hooks to catch the little nibblers.
Going out again tomorrow AM for the late morning high tide.
