Instead of me asking 20 questions on where and how can someone point me to some general info on how to drift live bait or dead bait, One of my coworkers has a boat and would like to learn to fish the oyster point area

3 way live bait rigs work fine. You'll need anywhere from 2 to 4ozs of weight, attached to about a 5 ft leader. Go to Mike's bait and get live shiners if he has any or just drift frozen anchovies. You can also just ask Mike whats hot and whats not as he fishes a lot too. Head out to Candlestick in about 25 to 30 feet of water. Still stripers and haliies in the area. The live bait rigs can be bought ready to go. Get lots of bait. There's a lot of sharks, sand and leopards. I might be going out this weekend with my brother. If I do, I'll post a report.
