Fished the 72nd st jetty in Belmont Shores on saturday from 8:30am to 11:20am for three short halibut. I caught one on the beach side of the jetty and two on the bay side. I was using 4 inch Gulp! jerk shads in smelt color with a 1/4 ounce darter head on 6lb main line and a 15lb flourocarbon leader. I saw about a dozen halibut caught while I was there, one of them was a 23 incher caught on a 7 inch Gulp! jerk shad. One guy caught seven shorts drop shotting a bass trix plastic. Most fish where caught on the bay side.[img][/img]

Nice fishing!, those Gulp Jerk baits work very well. Good call on the fluorocarbon leaders, So Cal butts are way more line shy than the bay area butts.
