(kelp angler) our newest moderator. Eugene's been on the board for quite some time, been a good member, and been a very good asset in a variety of projects. He's also very computer savvy AND a moderator on another fishing board, strengths that should make him a valuable addition to our team. Hope you all like the new board (we're still discussing additional changes) and hope you enjoy the additional moderation.

Thanks, I'm here to lend a needed hand to the admins (Ken, James, and Rich) and to support the community. Please let us know if you'd be interested in helping out, too.

About me... In a nutshell, I'm still a fishing newb with just 2 years under my belt. I'll never get to experience what it must've been like to fish from the piers growing up, but I live vicariously through Ken's book (I love the history) and through those I meet here at PFIC. I split my time between pier and kayak fishing, with a couple party boats in between. I've got a fishing blog. In general, I work on websites for a living and have been doing so for almost 10 years now. My wife doesn't like fishing at all, but I've got my 4-year-old daughter to hang out with (although she's more into the beach than fishing) and there's another little one on the way. I don't have any political affiliation and there is a God (sometimes). Smile

If you have any board issues, please email moderators@pierfishing.com or send any one of us a PM (private message) through the boards.

Congrats Eugene. As Leslie Nielsen says in AIRPLANE!, "Good luck. We're all counting on you."

Seriously, though we could do a lot worse. I'll see you out on the water soon my friend.

Looks good, fellas. I'm looking forward to this positive change.

Maybe over time, the "read-only" board can be gleaned of its kernels of wisdom for a more efficient "Search" function, Q&A, or other effective information tool. I hate to see that sit fallow and rot... there are many years of invaluable information, dialogue, debate, technique, and celebration there... we shouldn't lose that.
