ive seen those.. cool idea, but id rather side saddle a SOT any day.. and for the base price of that, you could pick up a pretty good used ocean yak and put all the goodies you want on it.

The Jackson line kayaks boast excellent stand-up qualities. I believe the Coosa is well regarded, problem is they are located back east and haven't yet broken the market here.

I though the option of the wide stance, by splitting the back section, can provide a more stable ride in the ocean.


Though it will reduce the efficiency of the kayak, by increasing the drag.

I have a Malibu Stealth kayak. They claim you can stand on it. No way would I ever attempt that unless it had those rear pontoons like the ones in the link.
