Popped by Ft Baker pier for a couple hours saturday afternoon. Lots of crabbers pulling reds, a few guys casting out with bobbers for jacksmelt. (Didn't see any come up) I did my usual drop under the pier thing, came up with 2 small brown rockfish and an 11" greenling, all released.

Got back over to the SF side, stopped by Crissy Field area, caught & released a couple of small sand soles, then caught one a little over a foot long. He even tried to fight a little. hehe

Sand sole tastes OK but the meat is a little soft for me. Sanddabs, flounder, halibut have a better texture.

But it was good to be out near the water.

Yeah that's what I was wondering, over by Oyster Point things seem to be kind of on and off. Btw nothing else was caught after you left, even smelt, think the tide got too low so they were farther out. But I only stayed til 4:00pm so maybe someone caught something idk.

Mmm I see yeah, if it's that low then it's hard to catch stuff...
