I third. Sin for the president. And I second paddio for the Treasurer.

I am IN for the Official Bank of PFIC Fishing Club, Monterey Bay Chapter. I will take all of paddio's deposits plus direct deposits from your paychecks and/or red gummy worms/JuJu fish... Razz

If my self nomination is declined, I'd like to join the club even though I reside about 2 hour drive away from the rocks and beaches in Monterey Bay. Then again, there's mutt in Fresno and Russ from Modesto... So, I can't say too much... hehe...

PK is President, but you are CEO, King, Ambassador or something.

OK Seeing as Im a pretty good instagator, maybe we need to nominate the Surf Samurai as SGT at Arms, We need somebody to take the secretarial dutys to record the minutes of the meetings, who got bit first, most, biggest, ect. Maybe its time to start a Roll-Call: you need 6(?) members to form the charter/board?

1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.
7.Muttfishr, the fisher of mutts

I guess I shoulda asked how this works before I chimed in. I live in Modesto but my Parents (who live in Gustine) bought a little condo in Marina where my wife and I try to spend as many weekends as possible.

Is the club open to such as I. Don't know how many mid week meetings I could attend but I would love the ability to join in whenever possible (especially considering the caliber of fishing celebrity involved in this particular club Wink

My dad might also be interested depending, of course, on if high "pucker factor" cliff fishing were involved.

No worries Podunk or anyone else who wants to join. We're just gonna meet up and go fishing for perch/stripers and BS a bit. It's nothing serious, no mtg notes or roll call lol. Just a way to go fishing w/friends after work. But we will probably have some wknd event-type get togethers too.

Is anyone else not surprised that this is the most active fishing club on the board?

Dan, I accept your nomination with 2 caveats: no background checks and no drug tests LOL.

Our first official Meeting is Wednesday, March 23rd @ 5pm on Marina state beach. To the left of the prkng lot if you arrive late. Target species will be barred surfperch with a chance for striper or halibut. If the ocean is really rough, we'll move the location closer to Monterey like at the Beach Hotel or something, but I'll be sure to post an update in advance if that happens.

Batrays aren't normally caught from the mid-bay beaches. Perhaps closer to Monterey or closer to Santa Cruz. Every now and then, we get a huge run of rays @ Wharf 2 in Monterey. And they also frequent Elkhorn Slough near Moss Landing, but otherwise we don't catch very many of them.

is this right? or is it suppose to be 5 AM?
