um, I thought the first outing was yesterday?
Showed up and no one was there!
Fished till about 7. The sea, wind, and surf won the battle. Laughing Cool

Hello to all,

My wife and I spend lots of time in Marina. Hopefully I can use this to get together with people who know how to actually catch fish. I've fished the beach, I've fished the rocks, I've fished ML Jetty, I've only actually caught anything at the CG Pier.

Dan, I accept your nomination with 2 caveats: no background checks and no drug tests LOL.

Our first official Meeting is Wednesday, March 23rd @ 5pm on Marina state beach. To the left of the prkng lot if you arrive late. Target species will be barred surfperch with a chance for striper or halibut. If the ocean is really rough, we'll move the location closer to Monterey like at the Beach Hotel or something, but I'll be sure to post an update in advance if that happens.

Batrays aren't normally caught from the mid-bay beaches. Perhaps closer to Monterey or closer to Santa Cruz. Every now and then, we get a huge run of rays @ Wharf 2 in Monterey. And they also frequent Elkhorn Slough near Moss Landing, but otherwise we don't catch very many of them.

As for Wednesday's meeting, I shall be there with my perch and surf gear. I'm looking forward to seeing those that show up Smile

I think we should make this a democratically fishing vote. Whomever catches the biggest BSP next Wednesday gets the Presidential nod of good hope. (Just kidding.)

*First Press Question, coming from KSBW-8*
Quote:
Pat, or Prez-Pat-in-chief, what will the tariffs be to the "outsiders" fishing in your waters?
Will you sign a peace treaty with the So.Cal PFIC FishClubs or will there be (fish) blood?
(just kidding...geez)
...or am I reading into this way too much? LOL! LaughingLaughingLaughingLaughing
/sarcasm

My support for PK as Prez as well.

Can't wait to see/meet y'all out there next Wed!

paz ~ D.

OK, I just got the word from the prez that ya'all are willin to adopt me, Im honored, you can count on me to at least have your best wishes at heart, and we'll hook-up when we can. Question, is anyone giving any thought to the up-comming Salmon season? Maybe look into checking out a (sport boat), Oh, ya I know "the unforgivable word" maybe we could all go incogneato, thats even if we have a decient season this year, till then be safe out there...mutt.
