I'm torn between Berkeley Pier and Lake Chabot. I know I can get a quick limit of trout at Chabot but I really don't care much for eating them. At Berkeley Pier I really want a halibut or 3 but they are still kinda slow with all the fresh water runoff in the bay. Maybe some other guys will chime in and we can figure out a place to go.

Just picked up a new bottle of Secret Formula #1. Ill be at Chabot Somewhere on the right side of the lake as you first approach it.

Looking like Saturday will be our next meeting of the club. Brian and I should be at BP sometime early morning. If you care to join us please do so. Just maybe we will have dogs and buns again....

Gonna come out and join the merriment (and suggest others head out too if you get the message in time). Can't promise any fish, but the weather kicks halibut (but always bring a coat for afternoon winds that kick up between approximately 1-2 pm)! Not many baitfish in the water, but frozen 'chovies hooked right will work in a pinch-as well if not better than live-bait in many cases (I will share some deadly secrets). Smile

I believe Hans (SK) said we will be near or at the 3rd cleaning-station...

No we are pretty visible. Its usually BigRich, Myself & Sometimes Red Fish. Also, we normally fish the other side of the Marina along the shore next to Hs. Lord Ships. You are welcome to come by.

Another enjoyable Wednesday evening (05/04/11). We had success again with the batrays being able to hook up every week so far. A good way to dust off your drags and make sure your "tuna gear" is working and up-to-snuff. Not a wide-open bite, but as a group, we haven't been skunked yet. The group effort is good fishing off the rocks as there is assistance with going down the embankment and helping with a clean safe release for fish and fisherman . Good weather, good access within 3-steps from your car, spacious, peaceful...

We will be out again this evening (Wed. 5/18/11) for anyone who wants to join. We will have burgers & dogs on the BBQ, free to all (if you want to bring something to share cool, but you dont have to)

Place: Berkeley Marina in front of Hs. Lordships
Time: We get there around 6-6:30pm & pack it up between 9 & 10pm (depending on the bite). Come on out and join us.

For those that cant make a weeknight, its looking like we will be back to the Hali Hunt at Berkeley Pier this weekend (took last weekend off to go for crab at Baker). Keep checking for time & day.

We will be on Berkeley Pier today Sunday (05/22/11). 7:00 or so until???. We will have some live bait, and be grilling up the usual burgers & dogs. we will be somewhere between the 2nd & 3rd sinks.

We will be doing some "batting practice" for the MMD thise Wednesday (05/25/11). Probably will hit the pier instead of our normal spot just to see how things are coming along. Will post on Wed AM to let everyone know if we will be out on the pier or at our normal spot.

If the weather turns out good like the weatherheads say it will, we will be back out to our usual haunt (Hs. Lordships Parking Lot) this Wednesday around 6pm. Anyone is welcome to join us. Nothing like a couple hours mid-week fishing to break up the doldrums of the work week Smile
