Draft Report on Delta Water Flow and Species of Concern Now Available for Public Comment
The Department of Fish and Game (DFG) today released a draft advisory report related to the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta. The draft report, entitled Quantifiable Biological Objectives and Flow Criteria for Aquatic and Terrestrial Species of Concern Dependent on the Delta, will be available for public review and comment until Oct. 15.
Mandated by the Delta Reform Act of 2009, the report is intended to inform current Delta conservation planning efforts, including the Bay Delta Conservation Plan and the Delta Stewardship Councils Comprehensive Delta Plan. Both plans are scheduled for completion in 2012.
The draft report can be viewed on DFGs website at www.dfg.ca.gov/water/water_rights_docs.html.
All comments must be received by DFG by noon on Oct. 15, 2010.
