Used Penn Squidders at a fair price
Used Penn Surfmasters at a fair price
Used Penn 525, 535 at a fair price

Used Surf Casting rods 10' or longer in useable or rebuild shape. May consider spinning rods as well.

Broken Fishing Rods......Don't throw them away guys....Parts are parts and can be re-used.

AND SPECIFICALLY

the 14' Daiwa Sealine-X spinning rod 12-20# 1/2-2oz in either new or used condition

Be nice guys....have a tight budget here and collecting dust is collecting dust.

eMail direct if any questions

Thank you for the help.

Hey Derek, Lets have a combination swap meet and Scooby Doo pole derby. I know lots of people have things laying around that they would like to trade. If we had a swap meet at Paradise or somewhere on the water, you could try before you buy. Anyone else with any input?

Good luck on your search.
I have none of the gear you are searching for! Razz

I do have, if interested... a Sea-Line X 30SHV (Pictured is the same, just a 50 vs. 30)

I had this spooled with 30# Big Game, casted it once and decided it was not for me. I have since replaced this with the reel I was in search of. So needless to say, this one is up for grabs.
Reel Stats:
Model Number - SL-X30SHV
Action - ML
B/B - 3
Inf. A/R - N
Gear Ratio - 6.1
Weight(OZ) - 18.0
Line Capacity(lb Test/Yards) - 14/490,20/295,25/235

What price do you have in mind for the reel?

Grammar Police...What is the problem with casting the 30shv. I have the 50shv and I admit it took a while to learn to cast the bugger but believe me it was worth the time it took to learn. You would not believe how far I can lob cast 10oz and bait with it and one of my 11' Roddy Hunter surf rods.

Don't give up on it quite yet, If you are local maybe we can get together and I will try to help you out.

Its not called a backlash BTW...It is called a professional overrun

The main problem I have with the reel is it does not have infinite anti-reverse. That alone turned me off. I do realize most reels don't have this feature. When setting my line, the play from not having anit-reverse erks the hell out of me. I have to fidgit with the reel each time once in the rod holder. The other issue I have is the star drag is plastic, I don't want to have to baby my equipment. Not that I beat my stuff up, but things happen. 30# mono has some serious memory issues, which may have driven my professional overrun! Razz

I purchased a saltist as a replacement to this, so I don't really have a need for it. I will admit the 30shv has some serious stopping power and is a really light reel. The drag topped out at ~22lbs.

Patrick333: I paid $135 for the reel. Make me an offer, though keep in mind it is brand spanking new.

I live in Rohnert Park which is just South of Santa Rosa so I am afraid it is a bit far perhaps. I fish a lot of old gear....My best Squidder is over 50 I think so I am more than used to the no "infinate anti-reverse" thing and it don't bug me. That reel would shine on yellowtail, small albies, sharks, and rays though. I have to admit that the plastic star drag kinda bugs me as well.

That works for me 1014! I have yet to have an offer on it. Plans so far are a boat trip with my father Sat. Then open on Sun. I'll give you a ring.

You didn't miss much last night other than a 40" 9lbs leopard I assisted in landing on 12#.

Good news! dsrtegl, you may be in luck.

Just got off the phone with a grandfather of mine, he is no longer able to use his ocean gear. Hasn't in the past 10+ years. I plan to head up there in the next few weeks and help liquidate his garage.

I'll post back what I find and plan not to use.

He mentioned all rods were custom (Wrapped by Danny Wade of H& M Landing) and matched with reels for specific purposes (ie. trolling, rock cod, tuna...)

Sounds good....I could always just use it for parts for my other reels. Now if we can just get Mel's Paradise Swap Meet and Noopy Classic organized we can make this happen.
