We had 10 fishermen today (1 regular and the rest PFIC members/friends) and raised $100 towards UPSAC's outreach programs. The summer-like weather was a real treat which brought out plenty of tourists and pier patrons.
1st - Tomas
2nd - Ryan
3rd - Jett (Ryan's friend)
There were plenty of pesky senorita around with a mix of opaleyes, halfmoons, and a legal calico caught off a live senorita (the points split evenly between Ryan, since it was his setup, and Tomas, since he fought the fish). Brendon hooked into a nice halfmoon near the end as everyone was getting ready for the raffle--pretty sure that was his first one. Market shrimp, squid, and peas were the baits of choice today.
Thanks again to our sponsors for the great raffle prizes and to Dee and John at Redondo Sportfishing for hosting us today. Looking forward to next month's derby and hopefully some more folks to join us!
