Jordona Santiago of Martinez Bait & Tackle is reporting fair fishing this week.  The winds are still a hindrance.  We have minus tides again that could affect launching at the Martinez Marina.  Best time is to be in the water by 7:00 a.m. which will set you up for the best fishing of the day.  It's a strong incoming tide.  Not too many fish caught over the last week.  Three sturgeon were reported, a catfish, and a striper.  Again, more striper were caught from the shoreline and the pier but nothing official.  Grass shrimp is by far the best bait as all the fish were caught with it.  Charles Smith of Martinez had two great days on the Martinez pier catching a 47" sturgeon and then a 48".  Stephen Wright and Santiago caught and released a 72" sturgeon at the Glomar on grass shrimp.  Randy Hedrick, also of Martinez Bait caught and released a 2 1/4 lb. catfish and an 18" striper just outside of the ha! rbor on grass shrimp as well.
