|Defrosted some nice halibut fillets last night. Decided to do a quick fry recipe. Quick dip in Mochiko (rice flour), egg wash and a coating of crushed cornflakes... Doh!!!
No cornflakes. I substituted with the only thing in my pantry, crushed Ritz crackers. Wow, it's made for a very light coating, didn't interfere that much with the taste outside for a more creamy flavor.
Don't get me wrong, cornflakes give a sugary taste. I haven't tried the crushed shredded wheat yet.
Oh, yeah, salt and pepper for seasoning...
