What can one do or add to the connection between pieces to keep the rod pieces from slipping and rotating?

I've used electrical tape on my 2 piece uglystick were they connect. The top half of it would slip off before while I was constantly casting lures for salmon. But now I only use 1 piece rods. This is just what i have done maybe it will help u

I use duct tape on my 4 piece travel rod. Works great, even if it looks a little funny....
