From the pier? No, from the beach next to it and off the back of boats on mooring next to it? Several. Have not really tried from the pier for them though.

Only one that I know hooked one from the pier, or at least I think he did, was Gordo Grande but he did land it on the beach.

I think Ross was fishing from the shore if I recall.

He was talking about getting snagged on the wire that runs along the beach.

I have caught many Halibut from the Green Peir. I even got 3 in 3 casts once. The biggest was probably 12 pounds. Most were caught on 1/4 oz. jig with white body. All were hooked before sunrise.
