Wife and I spent a few days on the central coast doing a little surf fishing.Had a great time and caught some nice fish.First day out only caught one fish,a huge perch weighing in at 3lbs. 9oz.
The following day my wife caught a legal cab on the beach using a sand crab as bait.Good trip and some nice fish dinners coming up.

Wow! That BSP is a porkchop if I ever saw one! And a legal cabbie on a sandcrab from the surf is awesome. Was she using a hi/lo setup or fish finder? Circle hooks?

Looks like a bunch of nice dinners on the horizon. What’s your go-to way to cook up those perch fillets?

Nice perch. In my experience, some big BSPs in the Central Coast.

I wonder if you have some concerns regarding the health advisories about not eating perch. Is there some more information out there?

My age group is able to eat 6 servings per week.Needless to say I won't eat that much in a week.
