If you do, use the "water bottle trick" or the "bow and arrow trick" to get unsnagged!

Could you elaborate these two tricks a bit? I am starting on rocks, and very interested to know everything about getting unsnagged Smile

Thanks!

Attach short line (about 1') to plastic bottle filled by water on 2/3 to save buoyancy. To another end of line attach the clip which should slide along yours mainline. Open the bail and by hand cast the bottle as far as you can.
Bottle has to be much behind the snagged lure.
Now jerk the rod several times. It is creating the force directed out of shore and if you lucky, there is chance to get yours lure back. Sometimes process has be repeated several times.
