Hi there,

This might be a layman's question, but I am having hard time to find a good/consistent source for surf/swell forecast info.

May I know what are the favorite websites/APP you guys are using?

Thanks!

Not sure what everyone else uses, but I use http://www.tides4fishing.com/

It hasn't been very wrong yet from my experience.

Just like the weather, I bet all the forecasts no matter the website are based on the one issued by the National Weather Service.

I go straight to the source, even though it's not as user friendly as some others:

http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/data/Forecasts/FZUS56.KMTR.html

Unfortunately it looks like they're predicting a pretty big swell this weekend.

Lots of good advice here. I tend to use the combo of the marine.weather.gov that Sofa mentioned-- he's the one that alerted me to it in the first place actually-- and tides4fishing. T4F can be hit or miss depending on where you're targeting, but it's been pretty on point as far as giving me Ocean Beach forecasts.

Depending on whether or not a wether system is coming in or just left, I also use sites like swellinfo, surfline, and magicseaweed to cross-check forecasts.

Thanks everyone for the info! They are really useful Smile

Looks like Sat morning is the only window for this weekend.

Download the fishweather app on your phone. Been 85%+ accurate for me. Always cross reference it with NOAA, windyty, etc before making your decision to go out.
