So I had a moronic moment last week. I folded up a wheel chair and gently set it down in the bed of my pickup on top of my 6' Daiwa Exceller rod. When I got to my destination, the bouncing of the heavy wheel chair had snapped the rod in two pieces about 1 foot from the tip.

Can it be fixed? It seems to be fiberglass.

when you say repair... are you talking about attaching the 1 foot back on the rod?.. or are you talking about shortening the rod by a foot?

i assume you are not talking about shortening the rod.. but if so.. its a fast action rod to start with.. you will loose a lot of the that fast action and it may become a broom handle limiting its ability to load up properly. In other words.. it may be way to stiff if shortened by 1 foot.

just my 2 cents.
