anybody brave enough to use these on the West coast surf for stripers? I'm considering them. Of course I know how to use conventionals. thanks in advance

I've used them in the surf but not for stripers, just sharks and rays. Ive used both the older sealine sl20 & 30 sh and the sealine x. The x series casts better. They're pretty much bullet proof reels...they're like the old Timex watches...they take a licking and keep on ticking. Real easy to take apart to clean and replace or regrease drag washers. As a matter o fact, i just picked up 2 more used ones tonight, just in case if one breaks, ill always have spare parts.
