What do you guys recommend for a rod that's in the category of light around 8'6" in height with a 120-below budget?

The older 8'6" Shimano Clarus ML is the staple of surf fishing. The only problem is they dont they make them anymore so the used market is your only hope. Otherwise the fenwick HMX 8'6" is a pretty sweet rod too.

Thanks man, I saw the Fenwick online and seems pretty worth it. Checked for the Clarus but none was found in ML. Perhaps not even used ones. Thanks for the input.

Check out the Ugly Stick Inter coastal. Great all around rod. Lite enough for surf perch but also had enough backbone to handle larger fish. They are around $60-70 at WalMart.

I checked it out and it is a great rod for its price. I went to Walmart today to see if they had it but none was found. I'm guessing they don't restock on them anymore. I'll decide rather to get the fenwick or ugly stik thanks!
