Due: To the ridiculous water condition outside the gate. I ended up fishing inside the bay today. What a surprised it was, got to the fishing ground about 7ish this morning. Fan cast all over. From far to close, work the structure near the shore line, even did a little bounce with the lure near the reefs, ended up with nothing. About an hour had past, notice the water had some movement, and the water starts to swirl a bit. Cast out as far as I could, in the middle of the retrieve I had a thump and it stop, but the rod tip was bent and I held it for about a second or so. All of a sudden I had head shake at the other of the line. Then I realized fish was on. I had a feeling it was a halibut. Once I saw shadow, it confirmed. Great Day.
